Yolanda's aftermath in Northern Cebu

Typhoon Yolanda, one of the strongest storms on record, made landfall on the island of Guiuan in the eastern province of Samar on October 8th, 2013. It pursued a path across the Visayas making landfall again in Leyte, northern Cebu, Iloilo, Palawan and out into the Philippine sea before wreaking further damage in Vietnam.

While the media attention remains mostly on the devastation brought about by Yolanda (International name: Haiyan) in Leyte province and specifically the city of Tacloban, we in the PSHF have begun to try to bring relief to towns in other places in the affected provinces.

Richard is in Cebu city at this time and he will be reporting back on the PSHF team's work in delivering food and housing supplies to the town of Bogo in the north west of Cebu island.
